In Lloyd Fitzgerald’s approach to painting, capturing a sense of light is vital. He is a master at achieving transparency using a limited palette of acrylic paints. His friendly manner and sense of paint and light are a wonderful combination for both beginning and advanced artists. This acrylics course will deal with the basics such as colour theory, mixing and various brush-handling techniques to achieve different effects. You will also learn about various painting surfaces, and the pros and cons of each one.

Lloyd Fitzgerald
Lloyd Fitzgerald has been painting professionally for 40 years and has an international reputation in the art world. He was represented by Dr. Max Stern and the Dominion Gallery in Montreal for more than 30 years. Highlights from those years were two joint exhibits with renowned British sculptor Sir Henry Moore in Lucerne, Switzerland. Besides the Dominion Gallery, Lloyd Fitzgerald has exhibited in Saint John, Moncton, Fredericton, Halifax, Montreal and Toronto and Edmonton. In the USA he has exhibited in Boston, New York and Martha’s Vineyard as well as in the International Art Fair in Dallas, Texas. Fitzgerald’s works hang in several corporate and private collections in Canada, USA, UK, Germany and the Far East. Lloyd has been teaching courses and workshops in acrylics, watercolor, pastel and pencil drawing for over 20 years.
