Robert Van de Peer
This exciting class is for both new and experienced artists who wish to discover the fundamentals of this addictive form of artmaking. During the week, you will be introduced to printmaking techniques including monotypes (painting with ink on a plexiglass sheet), block printing (carving into wood or linoleum), dry point, (drawing directly onto a copper plate and printing using a printing press) and etching (a print taken from a copper plate onto which the design has been produced through the biting action of acid). You will have a chance to focus in on the technique of your choosing. There will be an emphasis on non-toxic techniques, some of which have been developed by our own Master Printmaker.
