If you have always wanted to paint with watercolours, but were afraid to try, this course, which will take you step by step through the basics, is for you! St. Andrews and area has stunning coastal beauty, boats, Cape Cod houses and the ambiance of days gone by. Weather permitting; most sessions will be en plein air - outdoors - with a boat trip into Passamaquoddy Bay to view forested islands, cliffs and beaches from the water. Demos, critiques, tricks, techniques and shared experience will round out this enjoyable and relaxing class.

Anne Johnston
Anne Johnston has been painting the southwestern New Brunswick and northern Maine landscapes in watercolours for more than 20 years. She learned the basics of painting at the
School of Art and Design in Montreal and at the
Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Anne has illustrated novels and children’s books and taught many art and nature course. It is the understanding of nature that underlies her life and her art.
