A pop-up exhibit of sculptural jewelry by Clare Bridge and wet-felted shawls by Chelsea Frigault Smith

About the Exhibition

“Draped and Adorned” is an intimate collaborative exhibit focusing on the moody felted wool shawls by Chelsea Martin of St. Andrews, New Brunswick and the imaginative organic art jewellery by Clare Bridge of Boylston, Nova Scotia.

The combined designs of Martin and Bridge are a captivating unity wherein one can experience a visceral sensation of warmth, comfort and empowerment. The contrast of hard, cool metal and warm, soft wool present a visual feast of form, texture and a breadth of natural tonality.

Martin’s fibre art designs have been inspired by her surroundings, drawing muse from the celebrated shores of the Bay of Fundy. Whereas Bridge’s fine metals echo the bold, rocky coast of Chedabucto Bay. With the inspiration of their coastal homes, Martin and Bridge have achieved an enchanting display of unique, wearable fine art.
