In Search of Early Photography in New Brunswick, with Joan M Schwartz, Professor Emerita, Queen’s University. Photography came early to the east coast cities and towns of British North America. Saint John and many smaller places in New Brunswick supported a thriving and innovative community of professional photographers. Their photographs have been lost to fire, flood, and neglect, but their stories can still be told.  Come learn how we can uncover a history of early New Brunswick photography that is based not on images, but on words.
