Sunbury Shores is looking for an Education Director

This position is full time, with a focus on designing and developing our education programs provided for local schools and our community.  Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Elementary school primary education around the arts for safe self expression, emotional, and behavioral development
  • Secondary school education around arts for safe self expression, emotional and behavioral development for middle school, and credited course for Grades 11/12 looking to further education
  • Specific content for partner organizations
  •  After school and Summer school arts and nature  programming
  • Youth arts and nature programming
  • Professional Development programming for artists at all stages, with particular reference to the NB Status of the Artist new requirements
  • Researching and sourcing grant funding in support of programs
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations pertaining to the Centre as a registered Canadian charity
  • Working in support of the Artistic and Operations Director, ensure timely and efficient implementation of programs and services
  • Provide information as regular reports to the SSANC Board on progress against planned objectives for programming and activities
  • Provide Annual reports of all program streams for AGM and fundraising/donation support
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting on successful granted projects

Applicants are required to have:

  • A post-graduate degree in education, with specific training and experience in working with learning disabilities and/or behavioral challenges, including de-escalation and non-violent intervention practices
  • Strong analytical and writing skills
  • Experience with grant writing and reporting
  • Ability to travel independently within our region
  • Be able to start in October/November 2026
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People checks
  • Be a positive and pro-active representative of Sunbury Shores Arts & Nature Centre

Instructor Opportunities

Every year we offer a wide range of courses, across a wide range of media, for all ages and abilities. In particular, we need instructors for outreach/after school activities, kids summer camp, seniors programs, hands-on craft activities etc. Subjects can include fine arts, printing, graphic design, writing, photography, digital arts, metalwork, ceramics, textiles/fibre, and more!

What is personal information and what does Sunbury Shores Arts & Nature Centre do with mine?

Information provided is used: to ensure our membership database is current and accurate; to process payments for programs, sales, donations and venue/facility rentals; membership renewals; to respond to information requests; and communicate future events, and promotions.

Payment information is not stored unless member account is specifically set up to have auto-recurring payments for annual membership renewal. Members are able, by request, to change this on their account at any time from auto-recurring to manual/one-time payment and vice versa.

Who has access to my personal information?
Personal information gathered by SSANC is kept in confidence. SSANC employees and directors and affiliates are authorized to access such personal information based only on their need to deal with the information for the reason(s) for which it was obtained. Safeguards are in place to ensure that information is not shared or disclosed more widely than necessary.

With the exception of our Membership Swap collaboration with Craft NB, (comprising contact information only) your information will not be shared with any other organizations without notice.
