Promotion and Program Manager

Outline Job Description – 2025

Sunbury Shores Arts & Nature Centre is a Community Cultural Centre that seeks to provide art
and nature related programming, education, exhibitions and events. We have a need for an
experienced and qualified employee to take charge of some aspects of this activity. Specifically
the following:

PROMOTIONS

  1. Develop and maintain digital promotional materials for distribution (online and print), to
    increase awareness of and engagement with our various activity streams
    (courses/classes/exhibitions/events etc).

    1. Maintain ‘corporate’ style and message
    2. Develop/maintain templates for regular promotional materials
  2. Work with Artistic Director to support new programming around specific target
    audiences – in particular youth/young adults and seniors seeking social and entertaining
    activities, professional artists seeking assistance with career development (portfolio curation,
    biographies, exhibition applications etc), and increased studio engagement.

    1. Maintain a promotions calendar
    2. Maintain effective promotional platforms/distribution syste
  3. Assist with our IT requirements
    1. website updates
    2. maintenance around programming
    3. other activities as required
    4. review of current operating systems
    5. potential development of on-line programming opportunities.

4. Support special events projects with promotion as required.

 

PROGRAMS

  1. Monitor and support regular course/classes programming as it is developed:
    1. Liaising with AD and Instructors around supplies needed for SSANC and
      students
    2. Provide confirmations/reminders of upcoming classes, with info around
      what to bring etc. (in conjunction with Operations Director).
  2. Monitor and support exhibitions tracking
    1. Maintain effective tracking systems re receiving/handling/returning items for exhibition
    2. Oversee gallery management around maintenance, signage, hanging etc…

Other tasks, as per all staff at SSANC, may include handling sales transactions, tracking and
reporting on activities as specified, fielding enquiries as appropriate. Occasional other tasks as
required and agreed upon.

What is personal information and what does Sunbury Shores Arts & Nature Centre do with mine?
We collect information volunteered by members that include: name, email address, phone number, payment information and business information. Information provided is used: to ensure our membership database is current and accurate; to process payments for programs, sales, donations and venue/facility rentals; membership renewals; to respond to information requests; and communicate future events, and promotions.

Payment information is not stored unless member account is specifically set up to have auto-recurring payments for annual membership renewal. Members are able, by request, to change this on their account at any time from auto-recurring to manual/one-time payment and vice versa.

Who has access to my personal information?
Personal information gathered by SSANC is kept in confidence. SSANC employees and directors and affiliates are authorized to access such personal information based only on their need to deal with the information for the reason(s) for which it was obtained. Safeguards are in place to ensure that information is not shared or disclosed more widely than necessary.

With the exception of our Membership Swap collaboration with Craft NB, (comprising contact information only) your information will not be shared with any other organizations without notice.

As an added benefit to general members, Sunbury Shores Arts & Nature Centre and Craft NB are combining our general memberships to provide more content and programming. This means that SSANC members will receive Craft NB general member amenities, and Craft NB members will receive our general (individual) member amenities. Please note that at any time, you may unsubscribe to Craft NB by contacting us.

Updating Privacy Policy
Sunbury Shores Arts & Nature Centre reviews its privacy practices regularly and constantly revises the policy.
