In Isolated//Together, Fourteen New Brunswick artists have been chosen to design wearable facemasks as part of the project, Isolated // Together, commemorating the cultural impact of masks during this pandemic.
Masks will be part of our culture for the foreseeable future. In this new project, the Beaverbrook Art Gallery invited artists to submit designs for a wearable facemask that commemorates the masks we are wearing and their related social constraints, as we navigate the challenges of a pandemic. These masks will be worn by dancers for post-pandemic performances.
Opening February 4th, 2022
Collaborating partners: Beaverbrook Art Gallery, Atlantic Ballet of Canada, Theatre New Brunswick. This project is supported by the New Brunswick Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture.
